Application Services (APPS) - Manages the administration and development of enterprise and other lines of business applications for Illinois State University. Enterprise applications include PeopleSoft HCM, Student Information Systems, Budget Wizard, ReggieNet and various support applications utilized to deliver complete quality technology services to the University.
Enterprise Solution Partners (ESP) - Provides links between our business partners and Administrative Technologies at the strategic and tactical levels. Business Analysts work with our business partners to elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements for the purpose of new technology or changes to technology.
Portfolio Management Office (PMO) - Provides project management resources and support, including standards, procedures and best practices; follows the change management process to enable changes with minimum disruption to IT services; provides a framework to the Data Stewardship Council to assist them in prioritizing, tracking and balancing technology needs as it relates to University priorities.
An Enterprise Service is defined as an application/service that:
1) creates, stores, or transmits highly sensitive data or
2) meets two or more of the following criteria:
Supports one or more goals in Educating Illinois
Directly supports the core operations of the University
Is used by people from more than one vice presidential division
Has a user base of at least 50 users
Is supported by contractual obligations with one or more vendors
The Application Services team performs various implementation and developmental tasks for PeopleSoft and other applications. The team also addresses requests from campus users to improve the functionality of the student information, human resources, budget, and other supported applications. On a continuing basis, the Application Services team also provides production support for supported applications to the ISU campus community.
