Project Manager

Purpose of Position

The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects, including managing the day-to-day activities of a project, i.e. overseeing ongoing activities, setting priorities, monitoring progress, within the Architecture Management Office for the Lean Enterprise Architecture and Processes unit. Organizes and manages skills of a diverse group of staff members internal and external, to assure the project(s) success. Work will vary across concurrent projects with responsibilities on each project being defined and agreed upon between the Portfolio Management Office and relevant project teams.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or closely related fields of study; also acceptable are Bachelor's degrees in fields of study related to the knowledge and skill sets required for this position
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a team environment
  • Project Management experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Preferred

  • Four years experience in higher education
  • Proven track record of developing internal business processes
  • Experience developing communication and marketing materials
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with groups
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of detailed information and summarize for presentation
  • Ability to work with considerable latitude and independence of action
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skill
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
